Meet Our Regional Representatives

the Weyer family

The Weyers
Alex (22), Christine, and Bill
Matthew (12) and Annalise (14)

Bill and Christine Weyer have been happily married since 1983 and have three children--Alex (age 22), Annalise (age 14), and Matthew (age 12)--all homeschooled from the beginning. Their oldest graduated from homeschool and went on to earn a Master's degree in 2008.

The Weyers have been active leaders of LEAH, serving in their local chapter in various board positions, and ultimately serving as Chapter Leaders for BFFL (Brookhaven Friends for Life) for several years. They are currently serving as the Regional Representatives for Region 10 which includes Long Island, Staten Island, and New York City.

Since the inception of the LI/NYC LEAH Convention, they have also served on the Long Island Convention Team. They are passionate speakers at Chapter meetings and the LI/NYC LEAH Convention.

Their purpose as Regional Reps is to assist the local chapter leaders at the grassroots level, and to represent the concerns of the Long Island metropolitan area in our state-wide LEAH organization.

They firmly believe that all families in New York State should have the right to homeschool and that the decision to homeschool should not be taken lightly. It is an awesome responsibility to prepare the next generation and instruct them in the truth, that they might be able to fulfill their role in God's plan for the future. They consider it an honor and a privilege to serve the homeschool community, and are deeply committed to preparing homeschools for the glory of God.

They can be reached at: nycli@leah.org
